'Change Street' – A New Era in Cultural Exchange
Fuji TV is gearing up to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Japan-Korea diplomatic relations with its massive new project, the music variety show
'Change Street.' The show is scheduled to air on
December 19 at
26:45 (Japan Time), and viewers can also catch it on FOD shortly after its broadcast. This program is a collaborative effort between
Korean ENA and Fuji TV, bringing together prominent J-POP and K-POP artists for an unforgettable musical experience.
The concept of
'Change Street' embodies its name, as it showcases the symbolic moment of “changing” the streets of two countries through the universal language of music. Featured artists will visit each other's countries to engage in busking (street performances) while immersing themselves in local culture and sharing their experiences and insights in studio discussions. This innovative format presents a rich tapestry of cultural interaction for viewers.
The show will be hosted by
Yunho, a member of
TVXQ, alongside
Shin Dong Yup, a beloved South Korean comedian. Their dynamic presence is expected to add a unique flair to the program.
Among the Japanese artists participating are stellar talents such as
Kumi Koda,
DJ KOO & KENJI03 (BACK-ON),
Crystal Kay,
Ai Takahashi,
Ai Tomioka,
MAY J.,
Takaya Kawasaki,
Miyu Kanao, and
REINI. Each of them brings their individual musical charm to the show, creating a diverse lineup of performances.
On the Korean side, the lineup is equally impressive, including
Taehyun from
TOMORROW X TOGETHER,
Younji from
KARA,
Yunsana from
ASTRO,
Hui from
PENTAGON,
HYNN,
Lee Dongfi,
Lee Sangyi,
Jeong Jiso,
Whee In from
MAMAMOO,
Lee Seunggi,
RYOUK from
SUPER JUNIOR, and
Chungha. The presence of these stars ensures a blend of both contemporary K-Pop and traditional elements, appealing to a wide audience.
More than mere performances,
'Change Street' aims to capture the real moments and authentic feelings that arise from these musical interactions, revealing the artists' candid thoughts and emotions in a live setting. The streets serve as a “living stage” where genuine musical exchanges unfold, promising viewers a chance to experience new emotions and discoveries.
