The main activities will occur at Odaiba Seaside Park, along with various locations in Minato, Koto, and Shinagawa wards. Notably, the event will expand its play areas across the entirety of Tokyo (excluding the islands), providing trainers with a chance to explore every corner of the city. Unique to this year's festival is the implementation of the “City Exploration Ticket,” which will allow players to engage in a more interactive gaming experience throughout the city, starting from May 25 until the event's conclusion.

Tickets for this massive celebration will go on sale in early March. During the press conference held on February 12, 2026, Niantic President Keiichi Kawai expressed gratitude towards the global Pokémon community that has supported Pokémon GO over the past decade. He shared his excitement about hosting this large-scale event in Tokyo, viewing it as a stepping stone toward new adventures in the next decade.

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike also shared her enthusiasm for the event, emphasizing its potential to showcase the city’s unique charm and encourage trainers to discover rare Pokémon and hidden gems around the area. Other distinguished attendees at the press conference included district mayors from Minato, Koto, and Shinagawa wards, who each highlighted their wards' distinct attractions and support for the event.

Minato Ward is known for its iconic waterfront, which will serve as a vibrant backdrop for the festival. Mayor Ai Seike encouraged visitors to explore the area's various cultural and historical treasures, promising a plethora of engaging activities within local shopping streets and attractions.

Koto Ward, characterized by its rich natural environment, plans to offer collaborative initiatives in local shopping districts. Mayor Tomoka Okubo invited trainers to immerse themselves in the area's warmth and community spirit while enjoying an array of events tied to Pokémon GO.

Meanwhile, Mayor Kyoko Morisawa of Shinagawa Ward highlighted the district's historical significance and vibrant commercial areas, inviting attendees to explore the blend of nostalgia and modernity that characterizes the area.
