Unleashing Creativity: Summer Science Workshops at Tokyo Denki University
This summer, the Tokyo Denki University, in collaboration with the Adachi Ward Board of Education, is inviting elementary school students in grades 5 and 6 to participate in the annual "Science and Craftsmanship Experience Workshop." This innovative program allows children to delve into the realms of science and creativity through engaging experiments and crafts, all at no cost.
Workshop Details
The workshops will take place in two formats: an in-person session and a video-on-demand course.
The face-to-face workshop will occur on
August 4th, exclusively for fifth graders, at the Tokyo Senju Campus. Students will have hands-on learning experiences alongside university professors and students, providing an opportunity to engage in practical activities following educational sessions.
For those unable to attend in person, the video-on-demand courses will feature pre-recorded lessons available from late July through August 31st. Students can participate at their own pace by watching the instructional videos, which include a special kit delivered to their homes for hands-on projects. This flexibility ensures that children can explore these educational experiences in a comfortable environment, allowing them to learn and experiment independently.

The "Science & Craftsmanship Experience Workshop" aims to instill a passion for science and hands-on creation in children. Since its inception in 2013, this program has become a popular annual event, attracting numerous applicants. In 2020, the introduction of video lessons allowed for greater accessibility, merging both in-person and on-demand learning formats. We encourage all interested students to apply for this enriching summer experience!
