iRobot Japan Launches New Roomba Mini Models
iRobot Japan recently announced the much-anticipated release of its new products: the
Roomba Mini vacuum and floor mop robot with AutoEmpty charging station, and the
Roomba Mini Slim vacuum and floor mop robot featuring the SlimCharge charging stand. The Mini model is set to hit shelves on
February 27 and the Slim model on
April 6, both available at iRobot certified distributors and store.
The Roomba Mini line is designed specifically for Japan’s compact living spaces; it is touted as one of the smallest robots available in the domestic market. With dimensions approximately half the size of conventional Roomba models, these units are optimized to utilize minimal space while maximizing cleaning efficiency.
Equipped with strong cleaning capabilities that boast over
70 times the suction power compared to previous popular series, the Roomba Mini features PowerLift suction technology and a specially designed single-action brush. Switching to mop mode is as easy as attaching a disposable floor mop pad, making cleaning faster and more convenient. The compact size enables the Mini to effectively clean hard-to-reach areas beneath furniture and in tight spots that traditional vacuum robots cannot access. Its agile design makes it ideal for small living spaces such as one-room apartments and shared living areas, and it is lightweight for easy transport as a secondary unit for different floors or children's rooms.
This release marks a notable milestone, as it originates from the innovative ideas of iRobot Japan, setting it apart from previous Roomba models. Takuya Yamada, the President and CEO of iRobot Japan, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The Roomba Mini is a groundbreaking product that addresses the hurdles consumers have faced when considering robot vacuum cleaners, making it a perfect first-time choice. We hope this powerful, compact unit encourages more users to embrace the 'time-saving experience' of letting Roomba handle their cleaning needs.”
The Roomba Mini products feature:
- - AutoEmpty Charging Station: Automatic dirt disposal that eliminates the hassle of frequent emptying for up to three months.
- - Compact Design: Dimensions reduce installation space by about 33% compared to standard robot vacuums, with the Slim model reducing installation area by 85%.
- - High-Precision Navigation: Maps rooms in less than 10 minutes, navigating around obstacles while ensuring thorough cleaning. It automatically avoids rugs during mopping to ensure comprehensive coverage without damaging surfaces.
- - Color Variations: The product offers a sophisticated minimal design, available in four colors including Shiro (White), Kuro (Black), Sakura (Cherry Blossom), and Wakaba (Fresh Green)—harmony between functionality and aesthetics.
- - User-Friendly Operation: Users can initiate cleaning without Wi-Fi, simply by pressing a button. It includes compatibility with common disposable mop pads and ensures ease of use for everyone.
Additionally, with the
Roomba Mini and Roomba Mini Slim retailing at
49,800 yen and
39,800 yen respectively, they come with everything a user needs: the robot itself, built-in battery, and all necessary accessories for immediate use.
