WISI Unveils Advanced Tangram Video Platform Enhancements for 10G Connectivity and Security

WISI Enhances Its Tangram Video Platform for Future-Ready Connectivity and Security

WISI, a recognized leader in carrier-grade video technology, has announced substantial updates to its Tangram Video Platform. The introduction of the new GT10 chassis and GT2300 software package aims to elevate operational efficiency for video operators while ensuring robust security measures.

GT10 Chassis: Compact Yet Powerful

The GT10 chassis is a groundbreaking component designed for 10G support. This compact 1RU design facilitates a higher processing capacity and enhances network resiliency. One of its standout features is the inclusion of six module slots, which offer operators the flexibility to integrate various applications within a single, power-efficient architecture. With these upgrades, video providers can now scale their services effectively, adapting to growing demands without additional hardware complexities.

High Density with GT2300 Software

Complementing the GT10 chassis, the new GT2300 software is engineered for high-density output. It allows operators to manage up to 512 IP inputs or 100 SRT inputs, alongside a support for 48 QAM outputs. This advancement ensures that video networks can be expanded without necessitating a proportional increase in hardware, simplifying operations significantly.

The flexibility of the software is particularly noteworthy. WISI has incorporated scalable licensing options that enable operators to adjust their capabilities as their networks evolve.

Enhanced Security Features

In today’s digital landscape, security is paramount. The Tangram platform now features Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and TACACS+ integration. These enhancements ensure that only authorized personnel can modify critical system configurations, thereby bolstering operational integrity and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Moreover, WISI has integrated BISS-CA, a standards-based alternative to traditional proprietary content protection systems. This addition does not only provide enhanced security but also safeguards content within the Tangram system, ensuring seamless and secure operation.

Investments in Future-Ready Solutions

As highlighted by Sharen Sandhu, VP of Product at WISI America, the company is committed to continuing investments in the evolution of the Tangram platform. Sandhu emphasized that these upgrades deliver essential performance, scalability, and security necessary for running effective video networks today while laying the groundwork for future advancements.

Availability

The newly launched GT10 chassis and GT2300 software package, along with the significant security updates, are available now, providing immediate benefits to operators seeking to improve their capabilities in the competitive video service landscape.
