Chinzan-so Tokyo, located in Bunkyo, Tokyo, is set to unveil a breathtaking summer attraction, "Cloud Ocean Splash - Cool Corridor," starting on July 1, 2026. This immersive experience aims to combat the grueling summer heat anticipated due to the predicted El Niño phenomenon in 2026, which is expected to exacerbate high temperatures across the country.

The Evolution of 'Tokyo Cloud Ocean'

Introduced in 2024, the "Cloud Ocean Splash" utilizes advanced mist systems to create an innovative and refreshing environment designed to provide a cool escape for visitors. This year's experience takes it a step further by enhancing the area and overall experience. With dedicated nozzles positioned throughout the garden, visitors will be enveloped by sprays of natural water, creating a "water corridor" that they can walk through.

Approximately 90% of the water used in this installation is sourced from the hotel's own wells, reinforcing a sustainable approach by honoring the natural resources. As guests walk through this unique tunnel of mist, they will feel invigorated, akin to strolling beside a gentle waterfall on a hot summer day.

A Technological Marvel

The Cloud Ocean Splash employs technologies that fortify the "Tokyo Cloud Ocean" experience, using larger mist particles that create stunning visual effects. On clear days, the sunlight refracting off water droplets can result in beautiful rainbows, creating an enchanting atmosphere as water, light, and greenery harmonize in a spectacular display.

On the same day, the experience of the "Tokyo Cloud Ocean" will also evolve into "Tokyo Cloud Ocean - Yakumo." This new phase will enhance the landscape with multi-layered mist that replicates the natural beauty of clouds, making the garden even more enchanting.

Visitors are invited not just to observe but to engage with nature by walking through the mist and experiencing the refreshing benefits firsthand. This is a summer garden experience unique to Chinzan-so Tokyo, an opportunity that is hard to come by in the urban environment of Tokyo.
