Introducing Yoichi Town’s First Original Wines for Furusato Tax Program

Kav de Relax, based in Minato, Tokyo under the leadership of CEO Hiromasa Yamamoto, has exciting news for wine enthusiasts and supporters of local communities. In collaboration with their ambassador, Tohru Takamatsu, they are launching the first original wines from THE CELLAR: "Yoichi Blanc" and "Yoichi Rouge". These wines will be offered as return gifts for contributions made through the Furusato Tax system, beginning December 1, 2025.

The Wines

The release of "Yoichi Blanc" and "Yoichi Rouge" marks a significant milestone as these wines utilize grapes from Aki Farm, a local vineyard in Yoichi Town. Specifically, the white wine is crafted from the Kerner grape, while the red wine features the renowned Pinot Noir. The winemaking process is overseen by Tohru Takamatsu, who completed a four-year apprenticeship at Domaine Takahiko and is now a key figure on their staff.

With a focus on local collaboration, these wines encapsulate the unique qualities of the Yoichi region. Takamatsu's expert touch ensures that each wine showcases the characteristics of the grape varieties, delivering a delightful combination of soft fruit flavors and rich umami notes that reflect the terroir of Yoichi.
