On August 24, 2025, Asue Arena Osaka hosted the world-renowned street dance contest, the JAPAN DANCE DELIGHT VOL.31 FINAL. Organized by Adhip Co., Ltd., based in Osaka, this event is a celebration of street dance that has evolved since its inception in 1994.

The competition revealed the immense talent pooled from across the globe, featuring 48 finalist teams that had battled through rigorous regional qualifications. Among them, 'BOO+SHOW-GO' showcased phenomenal skill and creativity, ultimately winning the coveted title. With a motto for this year's event being 'Beat the Limit,' the atmosphere was electric, as teams displayed dance showcases that captivated the audience.

The event saw participation from various regions and styles, with a total of 535 dance teams entering the preliminary rounds. Performances lasted between 3.5 to 4 minutes, allowing each team to highlight their unique flair. This year marked a special return to Osaka for the finals after 11 years, following a history of hosting the event in venues such as Pacifico Yokohama. The shift back to Osaka emphasized the festival's roots and connected the event to the ongoing Osaka Expo.

'BOO+SHOW-GO', a popping duo representing Tokyo and Osaka, took home the gold. Both members, known for their distinctive styles, performed with intensity that left a lasting impression on the judges and the audience. Their heartfelt victory speech resonated deeply, with 'BOO' expressing gratitude towards the contest, stating, “Thank you for changing my life with Dance Delight,” while 'SHOW-GO' reflected on perseverance, saying, “I am relieved that our efforts have paid off.”

The event also recognized outstanding teams with top placements. The runner-up position went to 'Ikeda Beya,' a skilled Hip Hop team led by the talented MAiKA, while 'Kyushu Danji Shinsen-gumi', a renowned breaking group with multiple championships, secured third place. Both teams offered heartfelt homages to their journeys, reinforcing the spirit of camaraderie and respect that permeated the event.

Spectators brought their 'cheer lights' and signs, igniting an exhilarating atmosphere that encouraged every performance. The unity among dance fans and participants served to heighten the experience, amidst outstanding showcases that highlighted the richness of street dance culture.

Looking ahead, the JAPAN DANCE DELIGHT aims to further develop the global street dance scene, continuing its mission to inspire and uplift dancers everywhere.
