CAMO Hospitality Secures $4 Million to Enhance Hotel Room Service Offerings

CAMO Hospitality Secures $4 Million in Funding to Innovate Hotel Room Service

In a significant move to reshape the hotel dining experience, CAMO Hospitality has successfully raised $4 million in seed funding. This strategic decision comes in light of a remarkable revenue growth of over 200% year-on-year. The funding aims to enhance its service, enabling hotels to regain control over the guest dining experience by providing branded room service alternatives to traditional third-party delivery options.

A Shift Towards Room Service Revitalization

Founded by Kevin Rohani, CAMO Hospitality provides hotels with end-to-end managed room service, enabling them to maintain control of the guest experience without the heavy overhead costs traditionally associated with food service operations. By leveraging the funds raised, the platform is set to expand its footprint across additional U.S. markets, where demand for streamlined in-room dining is surging.

The firm currently operates in over 60 properties across six key U.S. markets and collaborates with several prominent hotel chains and management firms to deploy their technology platform comprehensively. CAMO's approach allows hotels to offer curated delivery services from local restaurants directly to guests' rooms. This not only mitigates service complexity but also allows hotels to capture a piece of the estimated $5 billion spent annually on delivery services to hotel rooms in the U.S.

“With this funding, we’re not just looking to scale our operations but also to fulfill the authentic desires of hotel guests,” says Rohani. “Guests continue to seek food delivery options to their rooms; however, the traditional restaurant delivery models have become too unwieldy and expensive for many hotels to sustain.”

Technology-Driven Solutions in Hospitality

What sets CAMO apart is their use of a sophisticated technology platform. The platform handles every aspect of the room service experience, from ordering and fulfillment to logistics and guest support. Hotels that partner with CAMO can anticipate no additional capital expenditure as there’s no need for kitchen buildouts. They simply enhance their guest offering while keeping brand integrity intact.

On average, each order placed through CAMO generates an approximate of $45, contributing a net profit ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 monthly for participating hotels under their revenue-sharing model. Despite the industry’s heavy reliance on outside platforms for delivery, CAMO's solutions provide hotels not only with increased revenue but also valuable insights into guest ordering behaviors.
