Special Event: "Ichimonji Inkou no Toki"

On April 26, 2025, tHE GALLERY OMOTESANDO will host a special event titled "Ichimonji Inkou no Toki" as part of Ryo Uchiyama's ongoing exhibition, "KOTODAMA." This unique event allows attendees to select a kanji character, which will be beautifully inscribed by the artist himself.

Ryo Uchiyama began his journey in calligraphy at the tender age of seven, spurred by encouragement from his parents. By the age of ten, he earned the prestigious Governor's Award in his native Fukuoka, marking the onset of an illustrious career filled with numerous accolades. During high school, he consistently triumphed at national calligraphy competitions for three consecutive years and received the Minister of Education Award at the 48th Calligraphy Exhibition hosted by Daito Bunka University.

As a contemporary calligraphy artist, Uchiyama offers a wide range of services that include design and performance, catering to both individual and corporate clients. His creative endeavors also extend into the realm of fashion design, showcasing his versatility as an artist.
