Exciting Events Coming to Sailor Pen's Hiroshima Factory

Sailor Pen Co., Ltd. (President: Mitsu Tamura, Headquartered in Minato, Tokyo) is thrilled to announce the launch of special events aimed at visitors who participate in factory tours at its Hiroshima plant starting in September 2025. After receiving enthusiastic feedback from numerous guests over the years, the factory tour will now offer exclusive monthly experiences that enhance the charm of fountain pens.

Monthly Exclusive Events

From September 2025, every second Wednesday of the month, visitors will be treated to free pen maintenance services that allow them to ensure their precious fountain pens are well-cared for. Experienced pen craftsmen will be available on-site to provide maintenance for the participants’ pens, ensuring they can continue to enjoy them for many years. This free maintenance service will be available for one pen per person. However, please be advised that while simple cleanings are offered for other brands, any necessary parts replacement will incur a fee.

Additionally, every third Wednesday of the month, starting on September 17, 2025, Sailor Pen will host an ink workshop. For a fee of ¥3,850 (tax included), attendees will be able to create their unique, original ink, blended to their liking by Sailor’s ink researchers. Each participant can choose one color, and 50ml of custom ink will be made on-site, offering an exceptional opportunity to explore the art of ink making firsthand. Pre-registration and payment are required for this event, as it is not complimentary.

Both events will take place following the conclusion of the factory tours, ensuring that attendees can enjoy a full day of unique experiences at the Sailor factory.

Participation Requirements

These exclusive events are reserved for guests who have participated in the factory tours. To register, guests should call the designated reservation line, which operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made starting two months before the desired tour date and up until one week prior.

• - Hours: Weekdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Important Notes

• - Events are only available in tandem with the factory tours. No separate participation for just the events or the tour is permitted.
• - Reservations are handled in the order they are received, and guests may need to wait during busy periods. Please also note that the factory will be open for tours only on Wednesdays other than the second and third of the month and every Friday.
