RyoGa and YuKi from Bullet Train Join 'Eco-Drive Club'
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Citizen Watches' Eco-Drive technology, members RyoGa and YuKi from the popular dance and vocal group Bullet Train have officially joined the 'Eco-Drive Club.' Citizen Watch Co., headquartered in Nishitokyo, Tokyo, has been a pioneer in solar-powered watches since it introduced the world’s first analog solar-powered watch in 1976. The special content featuring RyoGa and YuKi explores the principles of Eco-Drive, shedding light on how even a small amount of sunlight can power these innovative watches.
As the driving force behind their performances, RyoGa and YuKi are enthusiastic about learning more about Eco-Drive technology. RyoGa, born on October 23, 1994, in Kanagawa Prefecture, is the leader of Bullet Train and a prominent dancer. His involvement in the Eco-Drive Club presents an opportunity for him to deepen his knowledge about watches, as he admits he was previously unaware of Eco-Drive's concepts.
RyoGa expressed,
“I didn’t know much about Eco-Drive, but I love watches, so I’m excited to learn more through my participation in the club!”
Meanwhile, YuKi, born on January 2, 1995, in Tokushima Prefecture, serves as the dance leader within Bullet Train. Unlike RyoGa, YuKi revealed that he has not worn watches often, but he is eager to embrace the Eco-Drive and heighten his performance abilities. He commented,
“Since I haven’t worn watches much, I hope joining will empower me as I explore Eco-Drive!”
The Eco-Drive technology is distinguished by its ability to convert any available light—natural or artificial—into energy, ensuring that watches remain operational without the necessity for regular battery replacements. This aligns seamlessly with Citizen's philosophy of being a brand that is cherished and beneficial to the community.
Citizen's commitment to sustainability and innovation drives its ongoing development of Eco-Drive technology, which has evolved significantly over the years. Today, Eco-Drive watches are worn by people in approximately 140 countries around the globe.
The special content that RyoGa and YuKi produce will include interviews and insights into what drives them as performers and fans alike. It promises to be not only informative but also entertaining, as these talented artists share their experiences. The official Eco-Drive Club content can be explored at
