Oisix Launches a Cherry Blossom-Themed Campaign

This thoughtful design aims to align with the company's ongoing support project for single-parent households, themed "WeSupport Family." Supporting Single-Parent Households


Spring is a time of blooming cherry blossoms, but for many single-parent families, it also brings financial strain. Reports indicate that in 2021, the relative poverty rate for single-parent families in Japan was an alarming 44.5%. The absence of school lunches during long breaks adds extra burden to these households’ food expenses. Oisix has been active in providing food support to these families since 2021 through its "WeSupport Family" project. This new campaign not only raises awareness but also invites customers to participate in assisting these families through their regular purchases at Oisix.

As we embrace the scents and sights of spring, Oisix aims to reach even more families in need, using the cherry blossom design as a symbol of hope and solidarity. The special boxes will be used to deliver items from March 3 until mid-April 2026, creating a unique and seasonal experience for customers.

Oisix's "WeSupport Family" project received a notable accolade at the seventh annual SDGs Japan Scholarship Iwasa Award, where it was honored with a special commendation. This award recognizes efforts towards addressing social issues and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project connects food donation companies with those in need, such as food pantries and community kitchens. Since its inception in December 2021, the project has reached 32,623 households, and with contributions exceeding 20 billion yen, it stands as one of Japan's largest platforms for aiding single-parent families.

Ease of Participation


In a bid to create an inclusive atmosphere around charitable giving, the campaign is designed to make contributions feel like a natural extension of regular shopping, rather than a burdensome obligation. From March 3 to April 17, customers who purchase specific Oisix products adorned with a cherry blossom motif will see their donation amount doubled at no additional cost!

Food Drive Initiatives


Moreover, Oisix will host a food drive to collect non-perishable food items and stationery, further enabling community engagement. Contributions will be sent using the cherry blossom cardboard, and all items collected will be distributed during a food pantry event on March 26, 2026, at Oisix's headquarters in Shinagawa, Tokyo. This initiative encourages customers to participate through familiar actions and build a culture of giving, wrapping parcels in cherry blossoms.

Artistic Collaboration


Aligning with the cherry blossom delivery campaign, Oisix collaborated with artist Haru Yuu to create the beautiful design. Yuu commented, "I wanted to depict the harmonious existence of people enjoying cherry blossoms while simultaneously capturing the vibrant world of cherries. I handcrafted a stamp to express this beautifully."
