From August 8 to August 15, 2026, Ginza Mitsumedo will host a trunk show featuring the exclusive eyewear brand UNSUIKYO, hailing from Hong Kong. This event will showcase about 50 pieces representing the brand’s full range, allowing attendees to experience the unique blend of nature and design that characterizes each frame. Please note that the frames available on-site will be samples, and any orders placed will be fulfilled in approximately 1 to 2 months.

About UNSUIKYO

Founded in 2017 by designer Brian Chan, UNSUIKYO is inspired by the stunning natural beauty of the Shiratani Unsui Gorge in Yakushima, Japan. Chan’s journey through this serene landscape, filled with lush moss-covered rocks and ancient forests, sparked a creative vision that has since evolved into an eyewear brand that seeks to encapsulate the tranquil yet powerful essence of nature.

The philosophy behind UNSUIKYO is to create eyewear that feels like a second nature, reflecting the unfiltered beauty of the natural world. Their collections are distinguished by the innovative use of natural materials such as wood, stone, and carbon fiber, combined with meticulous craftsmanship rooted in Japanese tradition.

UNSUIKYO offers three distinctive collections:

MixedClip-Wood

This collection pays tribute to the artistry of wood and the advanced skills of Japanese craftsmen. The frames are both warm and inviting, highlighting the delicate character of the wood used. By layering carbon fiber beneath the wood, the frames achieve enhanced strength, flexibility, and moisture resistance. Scion Collection

Inspired by the iconic Jomon Sugi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located deep within Yakushima, the Scion Collection reflects the majestic nature of this ancient tree. The unique temple design mirrors the distinct patterns etched into the Sugi trunk, combining traditional Japanese embellishments with a modern twist. Additionally, the adjustable temple design provides flexibility in fit, making these glasses a true extension of one's personal style.
