Fostering Career Awareness through Real-World Experiences
On March 23, 2026, students from Nara Prefectural Toyokami High School will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on career experience program called
DOMINISTA CHALLENGE at the
Yuzuki Nara hotel, managed by Kyoritsu Maintenance. As a prominent player in the hospitality industry, Kyoritsu Maintenance also operates the well-known
Dormy Inn chain, providing valuable learning experiences for the next generation.
What is DOMINISTA CHALLENGE?
Since its inception in 2019, the
DOMINISTA CHALLENGE program has aimed to offer junior high and high school students across Japan an immersive experience in the hotel industry. Participants will engage in various tasks, from front desk operations to room cleaning and preparing for the opening of large public baths. Through these activities, students will not only discover the behind-the-scenes workings of hotel operations but also understand the importance of serving and helping others, fostering a sense of career awareness and local pride.
In an increasingly globalized world, where young people interact with diverse cultures, this program serves as a living lesson in multicultural coexistence, allowing students to appreciate the significance of hospitality in today's society. To date, over 80 schools have participated, with 17 schools specifically from the Kinki region, as part of their career education initiatives.
