New Asia Forum Aims to Draw $30 Billion Investment to Bali in December
New Asia Forum Set to Launch in Bali
On December 3 and 4, the Island of Bali will host the inaugural New Asia Forum, a significant global platform aimed at attracting $30 billion in investments to the New Asia region. This initiative is spearheaded by the Indonesian government and Danantara Indonesia, which is a state-owned fund, alongside Richard Attias Associates, the production company behind the event.
With the shift of the world’s economic center towards Asia, this forum symbolizes a new wave of interconnected economies that are increasingly ambitious and tech-driven. According to the International Monetary Fund, the Asia-Pacific region is already responsible for nearly 60% of global economic growth. Despite this, it has not been receiving a fair share of long-term international capital. The New Asia Forum aims to change this narrative.
Focused on Actionable Investment
Unlike traditional conferences that often dwell on theoretical frameworks, the New Asia Forum is unique in its emphasis on transaction readiness and capital allocation. Over two days, the forum will present a carefully curated portfolio of opportunities that are primed for investment. Heads of state, ministers, sovereign investors, and CEOs from global corporations will transform in-depth analyses into binding commitments across eight strategic sectors:
1. Strategic resources and their application across related industries
2. Energy and electricity
3. Mobility and advanced manufacturing
4. Digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence
5. Food and agriculture
6. Trade and connectivity
7. Tourism and the creative economy
8. Education and human capital
Continuing Commitment
The forum is not merely a one-off event; it will track commitments and progress year over year, establishing a sustainable platform for accountability, partnerships, and ongoing investment. Rosan Roeslani, CEO of Danantara Indonesia, emphasized the importance of linking global capital with emerging opportunities across Indonesia and the wider region. He encourages other partners to seize these opportunities to create long-term value in cooperation with Indonesia.
A Transformative Investment Climate
Richard Attias, the founder of Richard Attias Associates, noted that Asia has long been viewed primarily as a target for global capital investment, a status that is rapidly changing. The New Asia is set to not only attract capital but also generate, direct, and determine its impact more frequently. As we enter one of the most critical investment cycles of our generation, Asia stands at the forefront.
Bringing together over 1,000 leaders, the inaugural New Asia Forum is an exclusive event featuring more than 100 speakers and over 40 panel discussions, focusing on actionable outcomes during the course of the two-day gathering. This forum is poised to be a pivotal moment in reshaping the investment landscape in the New Asia region, encouraging stakeholders from various sectors to collaborate in harnessing the economic potential that lies ahead.
