Experience Authentic Yakitori at Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya

Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya is set to unveil its exclusive charcoal-grilled Yakitori set starting May 1, 2026. Located in the heart of Shibuya, this lifestyle boutique hotel invites guests to immerse themselves in the local culture through its culinary experiences at the Gallery 11 Restaurant & Bar on the 11th floor.

A Taste of Tradition

Yakitori, a beloved Japanese dish, has gained popularity not only among locals but also internationally. The chef behind this exciting offering is Seiji Tanaka, affectionately known as “Master Sei-chan.” With over 50 years of experience running the renowned Torisen yakitori restaurant in Asakusa, his expertise guarantees a remarkable dining experience.

Master Sei-chan with Executive Chef Davide

Sei-chan’s journey began 52 years ago, where he mastered the art of yakitori from selecting the finest chicken cuts to skewering and grilling with precision. His unique method involves cooking over soft charcoal, constantly rotating the skewers to achieve a beautiful golden color and a tender texture. Each piece is enhanced with a signature sweet sauce and a garlic dip, bringing out the rich flavors of the carefully selected ingredients.

Simple Yet Authentic Menus

The Yakitori sets feature two distinct options centered around meticulously grilled yakitori. Each set is paired with soft chicken and shiitake kamameshi (mixed rice) along with sides like salad and a dessert.

Menu Highlights:

  • - Yakitori Set 1: Includes salad, 4 yakitori skewers, and a strawberry and cherry tart for 3,300 JPY (tax included, service charge not included).
  • - Yakitori Set 2: Includes salad, 4 yakitori skewers, kamameshi, and a strawberry and cherry tart for 4,950 JPY (tax included, service charge not included).
