Japan Benex Unveils 1.7MW Solar Power Facility in Saitama
Japan Benex, headquartered in Isahaya, Nagasaki, has recently activated a new solar power facility with an output of approximately 1.7 megawatts, situated atop the Murashi Arashiyama Distribution Center, located in Saitama Prefecture’s Hiki County. This project, known as the Benex Murashi Arashiyama Solar Port, harnesses the Feed-in Premium (FIP) system, marking a significant step in Japan's renewable energy landscape.
The solar power plant is equipped with 2,756 solar panels provided by Trina Solar. As part of the FIP initiative, the plant will sell the entirety of its generated power and environmental values to Kennedy Green Energy, based in Chiyoda, Tokyo. The anticipated annual grid feed from this facility is around 1,950,000 kilowatt-hours, which is estimated to meet the energy needs of about 650 average households.
