An Exciting Collaboration Between Animal Crossing and Nagoya Sea Life Aquarium
From January 30, 2026, to May 11, 2026, the Nagoya Sea Life Aquarium will host a limited-time event themed around Nintendo's delightful game,
Animal Crossing. If you’re a fan of the game and love aquatic life, this is a unique opportunity you wouldn’t want to miss!
The
Nagoya Sea Life Aquarium, part of the internationally renowned SEA LIFE brand, first opened its doors in Scotland in 1979 and has established over 50 locations across 18 countries, targeting children between 5 and 12 years old. Since its arrival in Japan in April 2018, the aquarium has provided an immersive experience combining LEGO® models and about 150 species of ocean life. Conveniently located in front of LEGO® Land Japan, it was recently renamed to
Nagoya Sea Life Aquarium on January 20, 2026, with a mission to support children's growth through engaging educational experiences.
Highlights of the Collaboration
During the event, visitors will be thrilled to see more than 30 kinds of marine creatures featured in Animal Crossing. Gamers will find familiar faces such as
Blathers, accompanied by insightful panels prepared by the aquarium staff, where they can learn more about the creatures displayed. An exciting “creature search” activity will also take place, where attendees can purchase a
Creature Search Card. Those who can successfully identify the unseen marine creature depicted on their card will receive a limited-edition sticker as a reward!
For those tapping into their creative side, daily workshops will allow participants to make their unique shell wreaths, using various seashells and corals. The experience of feeding fish will also be available, set up in a specially designed paper bag resembling fish feed.
Additionally, visitors can check-in at the
Nintendo Store to receive an original postcard to honor the collaboration. There will be designated photo spots and exclusive merchandise available for purchase for fans wanting to take a slice of the experience home with them.
