Naka City and Palsystem Sign New Childcare Support Agreement
On July 10, 2025, Naka City (headed by Mayor Hikaru Masasaki) took a significant step towards enhancing support for families with young children by signing a partnership agreement with Palsystem Ibaraki Tochigi. The signing ceremony took place at the city hall at 11 a.m., bringing together Mayor Masasaki and Palsystem's representative, President Yasuyo Aoki.
Details of the Agreement
This new alliance focuses on childcare support, specifically targeting families with children under one year old. According to the agreement, Palsystem will deliver a special set of products, termed "Congratulations Box" (おめでとうばこ), designed to aid in childcare. This box includes items such as baby soap, baby wipes, oil-free tuna, barley tea for infants, rice flour noodles, domestically produced vegetable bouillon, and a first-time food guidebook for parents.
The city will distribute these boxes to families visiting the nursery consultation services when their child is 4 to 5 months old, thereby providing vital resources at a crucial stage in child development.
Additional Initiatives
In addition to the product deliveries, the collaboration includes efforts to disseminate information related to childcare. Naka City plans to share contact details for local childcare services, enhancing the availability of resources for new parents.
