Huawei Introduces Enhanced Stellar Intelligent Fabric to the European Market at HNS 2026

Huawei Unveils Stellar Intelligent Fabric at HNS 2026

On October 20, 2026, industry leaders gathered in Florence, Italy, for the Huawei Network Summit 2026 Europe (HNS 2026). This major event featured a roundtable discussion titled "Resilience-Based, Intelligent Construction of Next-Generation Open Data Center Networks." At this summit, Huawei showcased its updated Stellar Intelligent Fabric platform designed specifically for the European market.

The Impact of Enhanced Technology

Bingyu Zhou, Vice Director of Huawei's European ICT Marketing Solution Sales Department, opened the event by emphasizing that the adoption of intelligent technologies over the next decade will fundamentally transform global sectors, presenting strategic opportunities for Europe. The new Stellar Intelligent Fabric aims to facilitate the construction of highly resilient and efficient open data center networks for businesses.

Huawei's approach includes hyperscale capacities, automated operations and maintenance, modular architectures, and energy efficiency—all of which together contribute to supporting Europe's green strategy and advancing industrial digitalization. As part of its commitment to "In Europe, for Europe," Huawei collaborates with regional partners to build open network infrastructure that supports this vision.

Addressing Challenges in Data Center Operations

During the summit, Johnny Cheng, Vice President of Huawei's Data Center Network Division, discussed the exponential growth in the scale and complexity of data centers, which creates challenges regarding operational efficiency and uptime. To tackle these issues, Huawei introduced the Stellar Intelligent Ultra-Resilient Fabric, which utilizes the StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 technology alongside Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0 to create a smart, open network structure. This cutting-edge solution aims to eliminate single points of failure and safeguard critical workloads.

One notable case shared by Mesut ÖZCA, Senior Solutions Manager at KoçSistem, revealed the implementation results showcasing how the partnership with Huawei enhanced their data center resilience. The deployment leveraged StarryWing's digital mapping to create a multi-DC topology that enables self-healing connectivity among centers, ensuring computational services remain online even during localized hardware failures.

Furthermore, Aldo Artigiani, Technical Director at OEHI's Connectivity Working Group, pointed out that AI is propelling the dawn of a smart world predicated on robust AI infrastructure. He highlighted how international organizations such as ITU-T and OEHI have established Ethernet standards for AI and HPC, ultimately offering better performance and optimized total cost of ownership. Artigiani encouraged the industry to embrace open Ethernet to collectively promote progress.

Looking Forward

As Huawei looks to the future, the company commits to maintaining open collaboration and ongoing technological innovation. By deepening partnerships across Europe, Huawei aims to improve the network architectures of data centers, strengthen enterprise transformations, and promote high-quality sustainable digital economic growth.
