Leviton Completes $25 Million Fiber Factory Expansion
Leviton's Network Solutions Business Unit has achieved a significant milestone with the completion of a $25 million expansion project at its manufacturing facility located in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. This expansion, initiated in 2022, effectively doubles the size of the plant and is designed to meet the rising demand for fiber optic cabling solutions across various industries, from commercial enterprises to data centers and beyond.
Celebrating the Completion
On April 9, 2025, Leviton held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the successful completion of the expansion. The event saw a gathering of key company executives, local government officials, and dedicated employees who have played a crucial role in this project. Daryoush Larizadeh, the President and CEO of Leviton, expressed immense pride in the efforts of the team and emphasized the significance of the Network Solutions division in the company’s future growth.
Larizadeh stated, “We expect the demand for fiber optic cabling systems to grow for many years, especially as bandwidth-intensive applications such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Augmented Reality (AR) become more prevalent.” He highlighted that the company’s long-standing commitment to North Carolina, which dates back to 1965, is a crucial aspect of their operational strategy. The Fuquay-Varina site now stands as one of three factories owned by Leviton in the state, underscoring its importance in the company’s supply chain.
Investment for Future Growth
Ross Goldman, Chief Operations Officer at Leviton Network Solutions, pointed out the strategic nature of this investment. By doubling the size of the North Carolina facility, the company will not only cater to domestic customers more effectively but will also be poised to meet international demand for fiber optic solutions. This growth aligns with the increasing global reliance on high-speed networking and connectivity solutions.
“This investment is pivotal for us as a global division,” Goldman remarked during the ribbon-cutting. He went on to emphasize the importance of a skilled local workforce, stating that the community’s support has been integral to the company's success.
Community Support and Economic Impact
Blake Massengill, the mayor of Fuquay-Varina, also attended the ceremony and reflected on the positive impact of Leviton’s expansion for the local community. “The Town of Fuquay-Varina is grateful for Leviton's commitment to investing in our region,” Massengill stated. He highlighted that the expansion not only promises to bolster the local economy but will also aid the state of North Carolina as it continues to be a hub of innovation and technology manufacturing.
The Future of Connectivity
As technology continues to evolve, Leviton is committed to maintaining its position at the forefront of the fiber optic cabling market. The company's expansion in Fuquay-Varina represents a significant step towards enhancing connectivity solutions, particularly in environments that demand high-performance cabling products.
