A Journey Through Time

LIFULL began its journey with the vision of its current chairman, Takashi Inoue, to solve the disparities in real estate information. The company originated from the establishment of Next Home, which transitioned in 1997 to become Next Co., Ltd., now known as LIFULL. That same year, the company launched the real estate information website "HOME'S," now rebranded as "LIFULL HOME'S," which has since grown into one of Japan's largest real estate and housing information platforms.

In 2017, the company adopted its current name, LIFULL, unifying its services under one brand. This name change marked a turning point as the business expanded its focus beyond housing to tackle various societal challenges, including elderly care through "LIFULL介護" and addressing vacant house issues tied to declining populations with "LIFULL 地方創生."

In December 2023, LIFULL underwent its first leadership transition since its establishment, with Yuji Ito stepping up as President. Having led the core business of "LIFULL HOME'S," Ito now guides the company into its next growth phase, often referred to as the second founding period.
