Seminar Purpose

In many products we use daily, controlling rheology is essential. Traditionally, thickening and gelling liquids has relied on high molecular substances. However, recent advances have brought attention to techniques utilizing the self-organization of low molecular substances to achieve thickening and gelling effects. This seminar will showcase novel surfactants developed by the speakers that act as low molecular hydrogel agents. Participants will explore the relationship between the structure of aggregates formed by these surfactants in water and the rheological properties of hydrogels. Molecular design mechanisms behind the control of aggregate structures and gel properties will be thoroughly explained.

In addition, the seminar will feature examples demonstrating how these findings can be applied in the development of low molecular oil gel agents.
