Raytron Industrial Launches New Thermal Cameras
Raytron Industrial has made headlines with the introduction of two revolutionary products: the
TN660 High Frame Rate Fixed-Mount Thermal Camera and the
TN463 Fixed-Mount Thermal Camera. These new thermal imaging solutions are designed to enhance dynamic testing and facilitate continuous condition monitoring of equipment across various industries.
Advanced Imaging Capabilities
Both cameras feature a resolution of
640 × 512 pixels and are equipped with synchronized image and temperature data. The TN660 boasts an impressive frame rate of
120 Hz, allowing it to capture rapid thermal changes for dynamic targets and transient thermal processes. This capability makes it an ideal choice for applications in research, industrial automation, and transportation where quick thermal analysis is critical.
In contrast, the TN463 is designed for routine inspections and ongoing monitoring, providing images at
60 Hz which is adequate for regular production cycles and long-term temperature trend analysis.
Detailed Specifications
The TN660 incorporates a
12 μm uncooled vanadium oxide (VOx) detector, achieving its high frame rate without compromising spatial detail or scene coverage. It captures frames at approximately
8.33 ms intervals, ensuring that engineers can analyze rapid heating or cooling processes effectively.
The TN463, on the other hand, maintains the same detector resolution but offers different focal lengths for installation flexibility—available options include
6.9 mm, 9.1 mm, 19 mm, and 25 mm. The TN660 also has
9.1 mm and 25 mm focal length options.
Intelligent Data Management
Both models support hardware and software triggering, which enables synchronization with equipment actions for efficient data acquisition. For instance, an external signal can prompt the TN660 to initiate thermal recordings at critical stages of a process, significantly reducing unnecessary recording efforts.
The synchronized data output links temperature readings directly with their respective thermal images. Raytron Industrial’s
TI Studio software supports simultaneous viewing and analysis from up to four cameras, features temperature alarms, and allows users to examine historical temperature curves, thereby enhancing the overall diagnostic capabilities.
Temperature Measurement and System Integration
The TN660 and TN463 thermal cameras are capable of measuring temperature ranges from
−20 °C to 150 °C and
100 °C to 650 °C, with an accuracy of ±2 °C or ±2% of the reading, whichever is greater. Data acquisition is facilitated through Ethernet and USB connectivity, allowing seamless integration into existing supervisory and control systems with protocols like
Modbus TCP.
These features empower users to customize thermal acquisition processes based on their operational needs—whether for ongoing monitoring or for dynamic testing scenarios—thus advancing efficiency and accuracy in temperature management.
