On November 1 every year, an inspiring movement takes place across the United States as mayors from over 500 cities come together to celebrate Extra Mile Day. This day is dedicated to recognizing the incredible efforts of volunteers who make significant contributions to their communities. Created in 2009 by motivational author Shawn Anderson, Extra Mile Day began with only 23 cities but has since expanded immensely, with over 800 cities having declared their support.
