New Well-Being Center by Parents Anonymous® Opens in Antelope Valley to Support Families

Parents Anonymous® Expands Its Reach with a New Well-Being Center

In a significant move to bolster family support in Los Angeles County, Parents Anonymous® Inc. has inaugurated a new Well-Being Center in Antelope Valley. This facility represents a culmination of over five decades of service, aimed at providing free, evidence-based mental health resources to parents, children, and youth.

Ribbon-Cutting Celebration

The grand opening celebration, set for September 18, 2025, promises family-friendly events, food, and opportunities for community engagement. Families will have the chance to meet local advocates and connect with other parents in similar situations. This event highlights the organization's commitment to addressing mental health needs in the community and fostering a supportive environment.

Comprehensive Services Offered

The newly opened Well-Being Center is tailored to diminish parental stress and feelings of isolation. Services include:
  • - Weekly Parents Anonymous® Groups: These are designed for adults, children, and youth, promoting trauma-informed and peer-led support.
  • - Individual and Family Therapy: Personalized sessions aimed at improving mental health and family dynamics.
  • - Supportive Services: Resources and referrals to additional services that families may require.
  • - Crisis Intervention: A 24-hour helpline for parents and youth, providing immediate assistance during times of need.

Dr. Lisa Pion-Berlin, President and CEO of Parents Anonymous®, emphasized that the center’s mission is to meet families where they are, bringing compassionate care and evidence-based methods to those in need. She noted, "By expanding into Antelope Valley, we are directly addressing significant gaps in mental health services."

Addressing Increased Demand for Support

The establishment of the Well-Being Center comes at a crucial time when parents increasingly report feelings of isolation and stress. Research suggests that nearly half of those who reach out for help express mental health challenges. This center aims to provide a refuge for those struggling, equipping them with tools and support to help them flourish.

Dr. Lisa H. Wong, Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, commented on the importance of this facility. She remarked, "We congratulate Parents Anonymous® on opening its first Well-Being Center in Antelope Valley. This addition enhances our collective ability to support community wellness and empower families."

Joining Together for Community Well-Being

Invitations for the opening ceremony have been extended to local dignitaries, community partners, and families. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP online. The celebration reflects a shared goal to uplift the community through collaborative efforts that prioritize mental health.
