Pennington Partners Welcomes Christopher Wolfe as New President and Chief Investment Officer

On January 13, 2025, Pennington Partners & Co., a prominent multi-family office that focuses on investment, tax, and estate planning, proudly declared the appointment of Christopher Wolfe as its President and Chief Investment Officer. Wolfe steps into this pivotal role following his impressive tenure as the Chief Investment Officer for First Republic Private Wealth Management, a position he held until the firm's acquisition by JPMorgan. He subsequently served as Chief Investment Officer at JPMorgan Private Wealth Advisors, making him a seasoned leader in the investment management space.

In his new role at Pennington Partners, Wolfe is expected to work closely with the firm's co-founder and CEO, Brian Gaister. Together, they will aim to enhance asset management and foster client growth while overseeing the firm's investment strategies and platforms. With over three decades of experience, Wolfe has established a reputation for delivering substantial results for clients and building effective, high-performing teams.

Brian Gaister expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Chris is among the most accomplished leaders in the investment management industry, and his guidance will be invaluable to our growing client base. Having known Chris for many years, I can attest to the significant impact he's had on clients and colleagues alike. We are thrilled to welcome him to our team and are optimistic about the exciting opportunities that lie ahead."

Wolfe himself shared his excitement about joining Pennington Partners, highlighting the firm’s unique capabilities in managing wealth for affluent families. "Managing wealth has become increasingly complex in recent years due to an expansive array of public and private investment opportunities. While numerous family offices strive to address these challenges, Pennington stands out with its proficient team and integrated advisory services. I'm eager to contribute to the firm’s growth and success in the years to come."

Before his time at First Republic, Wolfe held influential positions including Head of the Merrill Lynch Chief Investment Office and Head of Global Equity for JPMorgan Private Bank. His extensive background also includes roles as a mutual fund manager and portfolio advisor. Wolfe earned his MBA from Columbia University and a BS from the University of Rhode Island. Additionally, he is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) licensee and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.

Founded initially to meet the needs of its founding families—entrepreneurs who built and sold successful businesses—Pennington Partners has dedicated itself to enriching the lives of entrepreneurial creators and their families. Today, the firm oversees more than $4 billion in assets, providing a comprehensive array of investment, wealth planning, and financial administration services aimed at founders, CEOs, wealth creators, and multi-generational families. The firm's mission is to redefine the approach to financial advice for families with complex wealth, aspiring to deliver better outcomes through objective insights and sophisticated solutions tailored to clients’ unique needs.
