A coalition of leaders including Emerald AI, NVIDIA, and others has unveiled plans to build the world's first power-flexible AI factory. The Birth of the Aurora AI Factory



The 96MW Aurora AI Factory, set to rise in Manassas, Virginia, is not just another data center. It stands as a pioneering model designed to integrate seamlessly with existing power grids. By adopting a new reference design, the facility allows utilities to tap into previously underutilized grid capacity and establish rapid connections to new AI data centers. The Aurora facility is set to undergo rigorous demonstration testing in collaboration with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) under the DCFlex Initiative.
