Miyazaki Kids Judo Club Crowdfunding Initiative
The Miyazaki Kids Judo Club is on a mission to take a leap towards their goal of becoming the best in Japan. Located in Ayacho, Miyazaki, this dedicated judo club has announced its upcoming crowdfunding project titled "Challenge to Become No.1 in Japan! #Miyazaki Kids Will Energize the Judo World," set to launch through Spportunity, a specialized sports crowdfunding platform based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
Background and Purpose of the Crowdfunding
According to Masahiko Ohtsuka, a representative of Miyazaki Kids, the club has been nurturing young talents who leave their homes to live in dormitories while engaging in intensive judo training. The children at Miyazaki Kids are fully committed to their judo practice, preparing to face increasingly demanding competitions.
In recent achievements, the club secured first place in the Men's Team category at the Kyushu Junior High School Sports Festival and reached the top 16 in the National Junior High School Sports Championships. These accomplishments highlight the potential of its young athletes, but they also underscore the challenges they face. As they strive for excellence, the financial burden linked to travel for competitions and living expenses has become a significant obstacle.
The rising cost of living, including food and judo gear, has increasingly strained the families of these young athletes. Unfortunately, this situation has led many children to consider relinquishing their dreams of competing at the highest levels.
Through this crowdfunding initiative, the Miyazaki Kids aim to create a supportive and stable environment where they can continue to focus on their judo training without the fear of financial constraints. The team is seeking the support of the community, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in nurturing the dreams of these young athletes.
