Discover the Nankai Mystery Solving Experience in 2026
Starting July 17, 2026, until March 20, 2027, the Nankai Electric Railway, managed by President Tomoshi Kajitani, in collaboration with the Historical Path Promotion Council, will unveil an exciting real-world mystery-solving game titled
“Nankai Tabino Nazo TRAIN 2026 - Solving Mysteries on the Journey”. This unique event allows participants to delve into an interactive experience while journeying on the Nankai train, where clues are cleverly embedded in various stations and locales.
Event Highlights
The centerpiece of this thrilling experience is a
one-day unlimited ride ticket, giving participants the freedom to ride the Nankai Train across its network. As you embark on this adventure, you’ll engage with multiple puzzles scattered throughout different locations. Once all puzzles are completed, participants will be encouraged to fill out a survey, offering the chance to win a special prize:
three groups of twelve participants will be selected to receive the
Grand Seat Plus at GRAN Tenku, which includes a meal and drinks.
What’s Included
The game package offers several exciting components:
1. A
mystery-solving kit that includes a puzzle booklet and other necessary materials to partake in the challenge.
2. An
unlimited ride ticket for the entire Nankai line, excluding Kansai Airport Station and Koyasan Station, valid for one day of use on the purchase date.
3. Exclusive coupons usable at participating stores in the designated travel areas.
How to Participate
Tickets for the game can be purchased exclusively through the
Nankai Digital Ticket Site or the
Nankai App. Tickets will not be sold at train station counters.
Required Stations for Kit Pickup
To collect the mystery-solving kit, participants must present the exchange voucher from their purchased digital ticket at one of the following stations:
- - Namba Station
- - Shin-Imamiya Station
- - Tenkachaya Station
- - Sakaihigashi Station
- - Nakayamato Station
Pricing Information
- - Adult Ticket: 2,700 yen (tax included)
- - Child Ticket: 500 yen (tax included)
Note: Availability is limited, and tickets will be sold until sold out. The child ticket only includes the unlimited ride ticket and does not include the mystery-solving kit. Each transaction can include up to three tickets, combining adult and child fares; child tickets cannot be purchased separately.
Game Duration and Participation Guidelines
- - Participants must have a smartphone for the actual gameplay, as it is a real-world puzzle-solving experience.
- - It’s recommended to start the game at 9 AM, with gameplay expected to last around 6 to 7 hours (excluding breaks). Some facilities may have restricted entry times. Even if participants cannot enter specific sites, they can continue the game via the internet.
Participants’ Special Participation Survey
After successfully solving all the puzzles, filling out a survey enters participants into a draw for a chance to win one of the
Grand Seat Plus prizes. A total of
twelve lucky participants will be chosen.
Important Participant Information
1. To engage in the game, participants must be able to scan QR codes and have internet access on their smartphones; basic mobile phones are not suitable. Internet costs are the participant's responsibility.
2. Registration on the
LINE app is necessary, and it is advised to download the app in advance and follow the official account for the event.
3. For safety, avoid using smartphones while walking on platforms or train stations, and refrain from solving mysteries in crowded areas.
4. Keep hydrated and take regular breaks to avoid heat-related issues.
