Sterling Infrastructure Welcomes Ronald Ballschmiede as Interim CFO After Sharon Villaverde's Departure

Sterling Infrastructure Announces Leadership Transition

Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. (NasdaqGS: STRL) has officially announced a pivotal shift within its executive leadership. Ronald A. Ballschmiede, previously the Executive Vice President of the company, has been appointed as the interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Principal Accounting Officer, effective immediately as of March 14, 2025. This change comes on the heels of Sharon Villaverde's departure, who has decided to pursue different opportunities outside the company.

Mr. Ballschmiede has a rich history with Sterling, having served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer from November 2015 until May 2024. His extensive experience within the company positions him to effectively take over the CFO duties during this transitional period. According to Joe Cutillo, the Chief Executive Officer of Sterling, this leadership change marks a continuation of the company's operational strength. "We are very pleased that Ron can seamlessly resume the CFO role during the transition period,” he stated. Cutillo also expressed gratitude for Villaverde's contributions to Sterling over the past year, wishing her well in her future endeavors.

The company is now embarking on a formal search for a permanent Chief Financial Officer. This search will ensure that Sterling continues its commitment to excellence, as the company focuses on expanding its investment and growth strategies.
