In an exciting development for denim lovers, SOMA KOMATSUNO, a one-of-a-kind handmade denim brand, has officially opened its first Pop-Up Shop in Shibuya Modii, located on the 3rd floor. This marks a significant milestone for the brand, which has previously hosted four successful Pop-Ups in the Shinjuku area. The new event, titled '5th Collection,' showcases a variety of exclusive pieces, highlighting the brand's dedication to artisanal craftsmanship and unique designs that reinterpret the denim culture of the late 19th century for the contemporary wearer.

About SOMA KOMATSUNO

Established by 25-year-old Soema Komatsuno from Kumamoto, SOMA KOMATSUNO focuses on creating unique denim pieces that are entirely handmade. The designs are a modern twist on the original clothing trends from the past, emphasizing the individuality of each item. The founder graduated from a local fashion school in March 2023 and quickly gained experience as an assistant for an East Tokyo brand called NISAI before launching his own venture.

This Pop-Up Shop features a curated selection of high-quality items, including classic pants and jackets as well as rarer pieces made from deadstock selvedge denim. The collection includes sailor-collared jackets and round-collared designs, all offering something unique for denim aficionados.
