Fostering Career Perspectives Through Work Experience at Dormy Inn
From September 4th to 5th, 2025, Dormy Inn Oita is set to host the 'DOMINISTA CHALLENGE', a unique work experience program designed for middle school students from Minami Oita Junior High School. This initiative, established by Kyoritsu Maintenance, aims to provide students with hands-on exposure to various job roles within the hospitality sector while emphasizing the importance of work ethics and community connection.
Program Overview
Since its inception in 2019, the 'DOMINISTA CHALLENGE' has welcomed students from over 60 schools across Japan to learn the intricacies of the hospitality industry. Participants will engage in activities such as front desk service, cleaning, bed-making, and customer interaction. By directly experiencing the behind-the-scenes operations, students will gain insight into the value of being helpful and cooperative within their community. With globalization leading to diverse cultural interactions, this program offers a living lesson in multicultural coexistence.
In a world where cultural diversity is increasingly prevalent, learning through practical experience in a hotel setting enables children to build a sense of belonging and appreciation for their hometown while interacting with visitors.
