This event not only marks Thailand's continued global influence in the tourism sector but also emphasizes the country's unique combination of wellness, culture, and sustainability.

The Thailand Pavilion, designed to captivate visitors, reflects the rich cultural heritage and modern advancements in Thai wellness tourism. The pavilion serves as a platform to showcase the ideals encapsulated in TAT's new global campaign, 'Healing is the New Luxury.' The event highlighted the importance of restoring balance in a fast-paced world, prompting a closer connection with both self and surroundings.

Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana graced the pavilion with her presence, participating in cultural demonstrations that featured traditional Thai cuisine and mocktail-making events, underscoring royal support for Thailand's international tourism initiatives. This royal endorsement adds to the prestige of the pavilion and its message, demonstrating a commitment to promoting Thai culture worldwide.

To celebrate the launch of the pavilion, the opening ceremony embraced the theme of Loi Krathong, coinciding with Thailand’s famous festival. A visual representation titled 'A Map of Thailand: A Journey to Total Well-being' portrayed the various regional wellness identities, such as Northern Serenity, Traditional Healing, Authentic Culture in the Northeast, Urban Wellness, and Coastal Rejuvenation. This map serves as a testament to Thailand's holistic approach to health and travel.

The Product Showcase featured a diverse range of health and wellness providers from all five Thai regions, including award-winning businesses and STGs STAR-certified operators. An exciting collaboration, the 'Senses of Siam TAT x Butterfly Perfume,' introduced the Amazing Thailand Aroma Collection with unique fragrances inspired by regional nature and culture.

Engaging workshops and demonstrations were key highlights, with attendees able to experience hands-on sessions ranging from traditional Thai massage to essential oil workshops. Additionally, the Pavilion proudly exhibited Thai National Costumes, showcasing the artistry of Thai textiles and jewelry that embodies the nation’s rich cultural narrative.

From networking opportunities to immersive product displays, TAT anticipated over 1,500 business appointments during WTM 2025, projecting approximately 1.33 billion Baht in potential tourism revenue.

Thailand remains an attractive destination for British travelers, with the UK constituting one of the top ten international visitor markets. In the year 2025 alone, over 836,907 UK tourists visited Thailand, reflecting a 13.12% increase in tourist arrivals compared to the previous year. As direct flights between the UK and Thailand remain significant, the platform created at WTM enhances Thailand’s commitment to promoting travel that is both responsible and sustainable.

Through initiatives like the Hidden Gem campaign, TAT continues to encourage exploration of lesser-known attractions in Thailand, framing the nation as a premier destination for wellness, cultural heritage, and immersive experiences.
