SUIT SELECT’s Bold Step Forward with the New Wide Pants Suit
After fifteen years of specializing in slim-fit suits, SUIT SELECT is taking a major leap in the world of fashion by launching the Wide Pants Suit on October 18. Developed by Konaka Corporation, based in Yokohama, this new silhouette is a game-changer, commemorating the special date of November 11, celebrated as SUIT SELECT Day. This innovative design harmonizes elegant beauty with exceptional comfort, catering to the demands of modern business attire. Let's explore the development, features, and what makes this suit a must-have.
A New Standard in Suit Design
The Expertise behind the Wide Pants Suit
Since its inception in September 2010 with the ultra-slim “skinny suit”, SUIT SELECT has steadfastly shaped the slim suit trend. The extensive experience and meticulous focus on silhouette have culminated in the creation of the Wide Pants Suit, designed with an aesthetic and fit that rival bespoke tailoring.
Development Journey: The Quest for a Perfect Balance
The journey of the Wide Pants Suit began with a focus on the “golden ratio” for trousers, starting from a prototype with a hem width of 20 cm. Initial feedback pointed out that it did not convey the desired wide appearance, revealing the challenges of creating a stylish wide silhouette. Determined to achieve a distinguished balance, we produced multiple pairs of trousers, adjusting the width in 5 mm increments. Through rigorous studies, we finally achieved a hem width of 26 cm that presents the desired elegance while maintaining suit-like dignity.
Complementary Minimalist Jacket Design
Accompanying the wide pants, the suit jacket features a strategically minimalistic design that emphasizes the trousers. Retaining a linear front cut with a subtly rounded hem, this jacket enhances the overall balance of the ensemble, creating a polished look.
