2024 Garden of Life® Palm Beaches Marathon Returns

The highly anticipated 2024 Garden of Life® Palm Beaches Marathon will make its grand return on December 14-15, promising a weekend full of excitement and camaraderie for athletes and families alike. Benefiting Special Olympics Florida, this event is designed to accommodate runners of all abilities with an impressive lineup of five races.

Event Overview

This year's marathon weekend includes a certified marathon - which serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier - alongside a half marathon, a marathon relay, a 10K, and a 5K known as the SunRun. With its stunning oceanfront course and vibrant atmosphere, the Palm Beaches Marathon has gained significant momentum both locally and internationally. Race owner Kenneth R. Kennerly remarks, "The Palm Beaches Marathon race weekend continues to grow as we gain traction locally and internationally. This is a truly unique experience for our community."

Spectator Engagement

For supporters of the runners, there will be plenty of action to cheer for. Spectators can easily catch glimpses of their favorite runners at several points near the start and finish lines, located close to the Meyer Amphitheatre. Post-race celebrations will include finisher medals, a hearty buffet on Sunday, live entertainment featuring the band Replica, and an award ceremony for all winners.

Race Schedule

On Saturday, December 14, the SunRun 5K and 10K races will kick off at 7:30 a.m., followed by the main races - the full marathon, half marathon, and marathon relay - set for Sunday, December 15, at 6 a.m. Runners can expect a picturesque route, traversing through the historic downtown West Palm Beach and along the palm-lined Flagler Drive, an ideal setting for those looking to achieve personal records.

Health & Wellness Expo

Prior to the marathon, participants can pick up their race packets during the Health and Wellness Expo at the Meyer Amphitheater on December 13 and 14. All runners will receive a gift bag filled with Garden of Life® products, and the Expo will showcase health and fitness products, running apparel, and important race updates.

Special Olympics Involvement

Special Olympics Florida will have volunteers onsite, as well as athletes joining the weekend's activities. As a part of enriching the local atmosphere, the Wacky Water Station competition will be returning. This competition promotes community spirit, as local charities and groups compete for a $1,000 prize by creating themed water stations along the course.

Registration Details

Registration for the marathon is priced at $140, with the half marathon at $110, the 10K at $65, and the SunRun 5K at $50. Teams of four can sign up for the marathon relay for $270. Additionally, virtual and multi-race packages are available for those interested.
