This weekend, on June 21st and 22nd, the "Bird Festival Niigata" (Tori Fes Niigata) will be held at NOC Plaza, just 5 km from Niigata Station. The event, hosted by Kotorikafe Inc., which runs the renowned Kotorikafe Ueno Main Store, invites all bird lovers to indulge in a festive atmosphere dedicated to our feathery friends.

Event Details

The festival will run on June 21st from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and June 22nd from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Entrance fee is 500 yen, with free admission for children under elementary school age. Please note that no advance tickets will be sold, and each visitor will receive a special A5 clear file designed by the artist "Totto-Pi♪" while supplies last.

Attendees can expect a variety of colorful bird-themed creations displayed by popular artists from across the country. The festival promises a delightful opportunity to purchase unique goods, from cute bird accessories to essential pet care supplies. Notably, Kurose Pet Foods will be present to offer delicious bird feed, ensuring your feathered friends are well-fed too.

Also joining the lineup are renowned bird cafes like "Bird Cafe Torin House" from the local area and "Kotorisumairu" from Osaka, adding to the exciting atmosphere of the festival. Getting There

For those traveling by bus, use the Niigata Kotsu service towards E61 Takeo Line. Board the bus from the 2nd platform at the Niigata Station Bandai Exit and disembark at NOC Plaza (卸会館).
