This project focuses on validating practical applications of digital technology to enhance efficiency and transparency in real estate transactions, specifically in property investigations and important disclosures.
Project Overview
The initiative targets a variety of municipalities across Japan. The intent is to compare and validate urban planning information provided by real estate companies during property investigation reports against data extracted from urban planning GIS systems. The project aims to identify discrepancies between these two data sources and analyze the underlying factors if any differences are found.
In recent years, the adoption of digital technologies by both government and private sectors has accelerated, including advancements in GIS technology within the real estate field. Nevertheless, the requirements for high accuracy and accountability in crucial real estate transactions mean that many real estate professionals have yet to fully implement GIS technology in accordance with the Real Estate Transaction Business Act.
