Boyd Hilder Triumphs at Simple Session 2025
In a thrilling display of BMX prowess, 29-year-old Boyd Hilder from Gold Coast, Australia, achieved a remarkable victory at the Simple Session 2025 in Estonia, marking his third gold medal in this prestigious competition. This event, known for its vibrant atmosphere and skilled athletes, celebrated its 25th anniversary this year at the Unibet Arena in Tallinn, highlighting a rich history of exceptional riding and a global community of enthusiasts.
Hilder's journey to the top wasn't straightforward. After a challenging start in the qualifiers, where an unfortunate crash left him in 14th place, he needed to pull out all the stops during his final attempt. The unique format of the final allowed riders to rely solely on their best run, enabling them to take risks and incorporate a plethora of tricks within a one-minute timeframe.
“My foot slipped off the pedal in the first run, and I didn’t want to risk big tricks after that,” shared Hilder. “I had to put all my eggs in one basket and go all in for the last attempt.
