Greentown Labs Announces Go Make 2026 with Shell and Technip Energies



Greentown Labs, recognized as the largest climatetech and energy incubator globally, has proudly introduced a new program named Go Make 2026. This initiative is designed as an open-innovation platform in collaboration with Shell Catalysts Technologies and Technip Energies, focusing primarily on addressing the critical challenge of industrial decarbonization while enhancing energy transition efforts.

The Go Make 2026 program is actively seeking applications from innovative startups possessing a technology readiness level between 3 to 8. These startups should be engaged in the development of cutting-edge process technology and catalytic innovations that promote low-carbon fuels, low-carbon gases, CO2 removal techniques, and alternative chemical manufacturing processes.

Selected startups will not only gain unprecedented access to leaders from Shell and Technip Energies but will also find substantial opportunities for networking. The program proposes a variety of partnership-focused initiatives designed to boost marketing visibility and encourage exploration of collaborative efforts between the startups and established corporations. This includes possibilities for pilot projects and practical demonstrations of their technologies.

Catalysts stand at the core of industrial chemistry and play a pivotal role in facilitating global energy transitions. Approximately 90% of all chemical processes rely on catalysis, yet many catalytic approaches presently utilized are fossil-based and energy-intensive. The necessity for transformative solutions in this area is paramount for a sustainable future.

Shell contributes valuable expertise to the program, bringing extensive knowledge in catalyst development and research and development capabilities. Their history includes significant achievements in the creation of advanced zeolites, catalysts, and pioneering processes that can redefine low-carbon methodologies. As noted by Elise H.
