Justice Necessary Takes Action Against Period Poverty in Colorado Schools with 2.5 Million Products
Justice Necessary Tackles Period Poverty through PeriodPalooza
In a groundbreaking initiative, Justice Necessary has embarked on a mission to combat period poverty in Colorado by distributing over 2.5 million menstrual products to students throughout the state. Coinciding with National Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28, the organization is mobilizing volunteers to deliver 1,371 dispensers and essential menstrual supplies to 460 schools in all five regions of Colorado.
The PeriodPalooza campaign is part of a larger effort aimed at implementing House Bill 24-1164, which mandates free menstrual products in all female and gender-neutral restrooms across Colorado's middle and high schools. The initiative seeks to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and ensure that every student has reliable access to period products, regardless of circumstances.
