Exciting Launch of NOVA Football Academy in Sumida

In the spring of 2026, the NOVA Football Academy is set to open its doors in Sumida, Tokyo. This academy aims to provide a comprehensive soccer education tailored to the needs of junior players. The academy emphasizes the development of individual skills and creativity, countering the trend of overly standardized coaching in the modern soccer landscape.

As soccer continues to evolve and become more sophisticated, there is an increasing concern that individual players may lose their unique attributes and technical skills amidst growing tactical emphasis. This is particularly evident in youth training, where there is often pressure to produce immediate results, overshadowing the need for personal growth and the nurturing of each player’s distinct personality.

The NOVA Football Academy addresses these challenges by implementing a mission centered on enhancing decision-making abilities. Utilizing European training methodologies, the academy tailors its approach to fit the Japanese environment, ensuring that young players understand tactics while maintaining their individuality. Free Trial Sessions in February and March

To prepare for its official opening in April, the NOVA Football Academy will hold free trial sessions on three Wednesdays: February 25, March 4, and March 11. These sessions will be held at the Fukushi Enterprise Sumida Field. The U12 course will take place from 17:45 to 19:00, while the U10 and U8 courses will run from 17:00 to 18:15. This is a fantastic opportunity for interested players and their families to experience the academy’s environment, learn about the coaching style, and assess if the program fits their needs. Any questions or concerns regarding participation can be addressed during these sessions.
