NextRise 2025: Connecting Startups and Corporates at Asia's Premier Innovation Fair

NextRise 2025: Asia's Premier Innovation Gateway for Global Startups

In the bustling heart of Seoul, the NextRise 2025 event is set to take place on June 26-27, 2025. This vibrant innovation fair stands as Asia's leading platform, bringing together cutting-edge technological trends and the energetic startup ecosystem. Co-hosted by the Korea Development Bank (KDB) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), NextRise has solidified its reputation as a powerful venue for startups looking to connect with industry giants.

With over 500 startups and 250 global corporates and venture capitalists expected to participate, the event will facilitate more than 3,600 business meetings in just two days. The previous year, 373 startups forged valuable partnerships, and 102 startups managed to secure a whopping KRW 400 billion (or approximately USD 300 million) in investments during the event.

This year's focus will be heavily directed toward pivotal topics such as AI, sustainability, and mobility. The program will include an extensive Business Meetup initiative aimed at connecting ambitious startups with technology scouts from Fortune 500 companies.

Adding an international flavor to the event, Germany has been designated as the Country of Honor for 2025. In collaboration with IFA Berlin and Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), a Startup Germany Pavilion will be established, featuring the Korea-Germany Open Innovation Summit. Additionally, innovation events from JETRO (Japan) and VivaTech (France) will complement the lineup, enhancing the global exchange of ideas and solutions.

For startups vying for influential connections, this is a golden opportunity. Participation provides access to the likes of LG Chem, Hyundai Motor, Amazon AWS, Airbus, and BMW. Interested startups are encouraged to apply for business meetings through the official website by May 12, 2025 (KST).

KITA representatives emphasize the value of NextRise as a platform where startups can engage directly with Korean conglomerates, creating pathways for new investment opportunities. One German startup CEO who participated last year shared how NextRise was transformative for them, allowing them to enhance their network in Seoul and influence their new MVP's development that is set for announcement soon.

NextRise 2025 is not just a fair; it’s an opportunity. For startups aiming for global reach and innovation agencies looking for proof of concept and market validation in Asia, this event is the key. Post-event, companies can utilize the Startup Branch platform for tailored support in establishing Korean entities and scaling their operations in Asia’s dynamic market landscape.

As the global startup ecosystem continues to evolve, events like NextRise 2025 stand at the forefront, paving the way for innovation, collaboration, and growth across borders. This is an unmissable affair for anyone in the startup world, marking another significant milestone in the journey of creativity and entrepreneurship in Asia.
