Speaker: Norito Michishita, Manager of Kaga-ya Ryokan
Kaga-ya successfully guided 400 guests to safety during the Noto Peninsula earthquake on January 1, 2024, providing timely support for their return home the following day. Michishita will share insights into the circumstances at the time and the preparation that was instrumental in their effective response.

Response and Lessons from the Kumamoto Earthquake and Kuma River Flooding
Speaker: Satomi Horio, Third-Generation Proprietor of Hitoyoshi Ryokan
Horio has experience dealing with the Kumamoto earthquake (2016) and the severe flooding caused by heavy rains in 2020. Attendees will learn about the concrete measures and preparations that can protect guests during seismic or flooding events.

Practical Guidance for Emergency Situations
Speaker: Masato Takamatsu, Head of the Tourism Resilience Research Institute
Drawing on the experiences shared by the previous speakers, Takamatsu will elaborate on actions and preparations necessary to ensure the safety of customers, particularly foreign travelers, during emergencies.
Additionally, the seminar will introduce resources like disaster response manuals, Tokyo's disaster prevention application, and related initiatives.
