Featured Speaker Profile

Toshinori Watanabe, born in 1993, hails from Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture. During his time at Aoyama Gakuin University, he achieved fame as a runner, contributing to the team’s first-ever victory in the Hakone Ekiden during his junior year and helping secure back-to-back championships as a senior with a remarkable finish in the final leg. After graduating, he continued his athletic career with the GMO Internet Group's track and field team while engaging in public relations and investor relations roles.

In February 2024, Watanabe announced his retirement from competitive running and left his company the following May. He then founded Rundy in September 2024 in Sendai, focusing on fostering exercise habits and promoting health across all generations. Watanabe is currently supervising long-distance runners at Aoyama Gakuin University while being involved in the Kizuna Running Club established by Coach Shin Hara.
