On December 6, 2025, the Shibunan area in Shibuya will light up with the warm glow of candles during the much-anticipated event, SHIBUNAN CANDLE BRIDGE. This festive occasion is organized by Global Agents and highlights their collaboration with Tokyu Corporation as part of an area management initiative. The event offers a wonderful blend of community spirit and artistic expression, promising a memorable winter evening.

What to Expect at SHIBUNAN CANDLE BRIDGE

Held at Shibuya Bridge, which was constructed on the former elevated railway tracks of the Tokyu Toyoko Line, the event invites participants of all ages to come together and celebrate. Starting from 3:00 PM and running until 9:00 PM, the candle lighting will begin at 4:30 PM.

Last year's event was a resounding success, and this year aims to connect more hearts through the beauty of light and art. Attendees can look forward to an array of activities, including candle displays featuring illustrations created by local children and community members, as well as visitors from around the world. The event also features a live storytelling session of children's books, ensuring an entertaining experience for families.

As guests stroll through the candle-lit pathways of the neighborhood, they'll be enveloped in a unique atmosphere that connects the areas of Shibuya, Ebisu, and Daikanyama. Feel the magic of the holiday season while enjoying heartwarming moments with friends, family, and fellow visitors.

Besides the atmospheric candle display, guests can engage in a special candle message project. Starting November 17, participants can pick up materials at the HOTEL GRAPHY Shibuya front desk to express their thoughts and wishes in written or illustrated form. These pieces will be showcased alongside the candles during the event.

The enchanting aroma and warm glow created by Masashi Minai, a talented candle artist, will also enhance the overall experience. Starting his journey in candle-making in 2011, Minai has since worked independently, creating unique candles that reflect various societal issues, and has now begun collaborating with notable events like SHIBUNAN CANDLE BRIDGE.

A Live Storytelling Session

From 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the event will host a special live storytelling performance featuring songs and live music, creating an engaging environment for both adults and children. Hosted by Banpaku to Anna and The Suberuz, this live act promises to bring joy to attendees, making it a perfect early Christmas experience.

Special Dining Experience

For those seeking an exclusive culinary offering, on the same night, a special dinner will be hosted at the Graphic Grill & Bar, located within HOTEL GRAPHY Shibuya. Guests can savor a specially curated course by Masashi Minai amidst a uniquely designed space created just for the occasion. This memorable dining experience will include complimentary candles crafted by Minai himself as a keepsake.
