Nobuaki Koijima graduated from Waseda University Law School in 1974 and joined Mitsubishi Corporation the same year. His notable roles included serving as the Executive Officer of the Earth Environment Business Development Group, where he implemented various new business projects that contributed significantly to environmental solutions.

His portfolio is impressive; Koijima has helped establish one of the world’s largest solar power facilities in Portugal, spearheaded Spain’s solar thermal power initiatives, and played a pivotal role in Japan's first large-scale lithium battery production for electric vehicles. He is currently engaged as a visiting researcher at Tohoku University and as a visiting researcher at Waseda University, furthering his commitment to education and research.
