Exploring the Future of Manufacturing at the Smart Factory Expo 2026 in Osaka

The Smart Factory Expo 2026: A Revolution in Manufacturing

From May 13 to 15, 2026, Osaka hosted the impressive Smart Factory Expo, part of the larger Factory Innovation Week. Organized by RX Japan, this event brought together industry leaders and innovators to showcase advancements in manufacturing technologies. Robit, a pioneering company specializing in AI, software, and hardware integration, showcased its remarkable solutions designed to elevate quality inspection processes in manufacturing.

Robit's Innovative Solutions: The TESRAY Series

One of the main highlights of Robit's exhibit was the introduction of the TESRAY G series and TESRAY S series - advanced inspection solutions that automate the quality assurance traditionally dependent on skilled labor's intuition and experience.

TESRAY G Series

  • - Functionality: This solution employs an air drop AI sorting mechanism, enabling it to detect subtle defects and assess the extent of anomalies effectively. It is designed to handle a wide range of products, including food items and small industrial components, such as metal washers and plastic pellets.
  • - Key Features:
- Exceptional Speed: With the capability to identify abnormalities in just 0.1 seconds, it performs high-speed inspections on a vast array of items.
- Comprehensive Inspection: Utilizing a patented high-resolution imaging system, the TESRAY G series captures images from all angles during the product's brief free-fall period.
- Multilevel Sorting: The system distinguishes between four levels of defects, rather than simply categorizing items as pass/fail, allowing for maximal yield efficiency.
- Precision in Detection: The technology is engineered to eliminate not just evident defects but also color-similar foreign materials, thanks to its ability to analyze physical distortions and other features accurately.

TESRAY S Series

  • - Purpose: Tailored specifically for complex industrial parts, this series provides high-speed scanning and inspection, meeting stringent manufacturing quality control standards.
  • - Core Attributes:
- Robust Synchronization: Achieving a tight synchronization between the motions of multi-joint (6 to 12 axes) robots and AI analytics, elevating both inspection speed and accuracy.
- Quantifiable Assessment: The AI in the TESRAY S series accurately evaluates random designs in painted items and identifies inconsistencies like paint unevenness or surface texture variations.
- Feedback Capabilities: By correlating detected defects with their locations, this technology aids in identifying fault origins and refining manufacturing processes, enhancing overall effectiveness.
