Sungrow Hydrogen Secures Major Contract for Green Ammonia Project in Oman

Sungrow Hydrogen Wins Major Supply Contract in Oman

On January 18, 2025, Sungrow Hydrogen made headlines after signing a monumental supply agreement with ACME Group, which will see them provide state-of-the-art water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment for a 320 MW green ammonia project in Oman. This contract not only marks a significant step for Sungrow but also establishes a new collaboration with ACME Group in the Middle East, aiming to enhance sustainable energy solutions.

Project Overview

The green ammonia project, integral to ACME’s energy strategy in the region, is projected to begin operations by 2026. The initial capacity for green ammonia production is set at 300 tons per day. This project positions Oman prominently within the global green hydrogen industry, providing substantial potential for economic growth and sustainability.

Technological Edge

Sungrow Hydrogen plans to deliver multiple sets of 1,000 Nm³/h ALK hydrogen production equipment along with flexible solutions tailored for green hydrogen production. Looking ahead, the delivery of the equipment is slated for 2025, aligning with the project timeline.

In recent developments, Sungrow Hydrogen has been enhancing its competitiveness in the global hydrogen market. The company's flagship electrolysis products are expected to receive prestigious certifications such as CE and TÜV in 2024. Additionally, they are proud to present the world's largest water electrolysis hydrogen production platform at 20 MW, which has received accreditation from the National Service of China Accreditation for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).

Furthermore, the company has recently launched its second plant at the intelligent hydrogen manufacturing center in Hefei, China. This facility houses China's first automated assembly line for ALK electrolyzers, projecting a 60% increase in production efficiency, raising its annual production capacity to 3 GW.

Commitment to Green Energy

Sungrow Hydrogen is not only advancing its technological offerings but is also actively participating in numerous large-scale integrated demonstration projects aimed at green hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol production. This commitment underscores their strategy to forge partnerships globally, driving forward the development of green hydrogen projects.

As the world continues to shift towards sustainable energy, Sungrow Hydrogen's involvement in such transformative projects highlights the critical role of innovative technology in combating climate change and promoting economic development. With this new contract in Oman, the company is set to lead the charge in establishing a robust green hydrogen sector, ultimately contributing to a greener future.
