Sungrow Hydrogen Wins Major Supply Contract in Oman

Sungrow Hydrogen made headlines after signing a monumental supply agreement with
ACME Group, which will see them provide state-of-the-art water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment for a
320 MW green ammonia project in Oman. This contract not only marks a significant step for Sungrow but also establishes a new collaboration with ACME Group in the Middle East, aiming to enhance sustainable energy solutions.
Project Overview
The green ammonia project, integral to ACME’s energy strategy in the region, is projected to begin operations by
2026. The initial capacity for green ammonia production is set at
300 tons per day. This project positions Oman prominently within the global green hydrogen industry, providing substantial potential for economic growth and sustainability.
Technological Edge
Sungrow Hydrogen plans to deliver multiple sets of
1,000 Nm³/h ALK hydrogen production equipment along with flexible solutions tailored for green hydrogen production. Looking ahead, the delivery of the equipment is slated for
2025, aligning with the project timeline.
In recent developments, Sungrow Hydrogen has been enhancing its competitiveness in the global hydrogen market. The company's flagship electrolysis products are expected to receive prestigious certifications such as
CE and
TÜV in 2024. Additionally, they are proud to present the world's largest water electrolysis hydrogen production platform at
20 MW, which has received accreditation from the
National Service of China Accreditation for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).
Furthermore, the company has recently launched its
second plant at the intelligent hydrogen manufacturing center in Hefei, China. This facility houses China's first automated assembly line for ALK electrolyzers, projecting a
60% increase in production efficiency, raising its annual production capacity to
3 GW.
